ICF Foundation announces inaugural request for proposals

Lexington, Kentucky, USA - Non-profits that offer pro-bono coaching in the area of education now have the opportunity to apply for an inaugural grant from the International Coach Federation (ICF) Foundation, a nonprofit organization created exclusively for education, research and charitable purposes.

Exciting News!
"The ICF Foundation is delighted to announce its first-ever request for proposals to identify and partner with established pro-bono coaching initiatives centered on education," said 2009 ICF Foundation President Diane Brennan, MCC¹. "We look forward to the response we will receive from coaches in the non-profit sector who are making a real difference in the lives of students, teachers and administrators."

Pro-Bono Coaching
Professional coaches affiliated with or heading non-profit/charitable organizations that provide pro-bono coaching to principals, headmasters, teachers and/or students are encouraged to apply. The organization/program should have at least one year of experience with a short- and long-range plan that reflects the progress and sustainability of the organization.

Why education?
"A good education is so important to personal and professional success in life," Brennan said. "Faced with budget cuts and limited resources, educational systems, teachers and ultimately students are struggling. This concern resonates throughout the world. We see coaching as a way to expand perspective, focus and opportunity to find a way forward and to contribute to society in a way that supports long-term success and sustainability for teachers and our future generations."
