Speakers Wanted for 2010 ICF Conference
| 2010 ICF Annual International Conference Request for Proposals (RFP) The 2010 ICF Educational Steering Committee cordially invites you to submit a proposal for the 15th Annual International Conference to be held in Fort Worth, Texas, USA from October 27-October 30. The Committee is looking for exceptional presentations that forward the art, science and practice of coaching. This is an opportunity for presenters to share their expert knowledge with their colleagues and to contribute to the growth and sustainability of the coaching profession. In response to attendees' requests for a conference that provides professional quality presentations and opportunities for connecting with other attendees, several new criteria have been added to the selection process. Each selected presentation will meet strict standards of excellence and will stretch all levels of coaches. Each proposal must be accompanied by a video of the presenter(s). Proposals that do not have a link to a video will not be considered. Presentations must be interactive so that attendees have the opportunity to learn in the moment. To promote interaction and connection, break-out rooms will be set up with round or rectangular tables or with chairs set in groups of circles. Ideal presenters will have the following characteristics:
To enable our international audience to benefit fully from the presentation, presenters must:

Ideal presentations will:
- Uphold the ICF philosophy, definition and ethics of coaching;
- Be innovative and creative;
- Add to the existing understanding of the coaching process;
- Expand the skills and tools of coaches;
- Use interactive techniques such as: exercises, demonstrations and cases that fully engage each audience;
- Elevate the standards of the coaching profession;
- Be organized in a format that supports efficient learning within the allotted time of 90 minutes;
- Be well-paced so that the audience can comfortably absorb the content throughout the presentation.
Please read the descriptions for each area of focus and select the area that best matches your presentation. Also, please read this year's RFP guidelines (MS Word) prior to completing your application to speak (MS Word). You are also invited to attend an informational teleforum with the Educational Steering Committee members to answer your remaining questions. These informational sessions will also be recorded for your convenience and are scheduled on Wednesday, March 10: 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 - 3:30 p.m. (New York).
